My future Job

 I would like to have a job where I can apply social sciences knowledge at the same time where I can share it. I hope it could be with a community, a group of people related by a territory, an identity or a specific problematic. I really would love a job which recognizes the work with community outside the notion of volunteer work. I mean, a useful paid labor where I can focus on contribute building strategies and tools  for people who requires it to have dignity in their lives. I would like to be paid for using participative and collaborative strategies to build a situated knowledge, that emerges with the people who needs them on everyday life.

I imagine it as an outdoor labor, working with different people and perspectives, but with an autonomous responsability. Of course, I’d love to travel, but it is not a principal aspect of my interest on a future job. If I would travel, I hope it brings me significant experiences with different people and cultures.

As I said, I hope that my future job  recognizes the effort I put when working, but is not like I’m dreaming of being rich. I hope I would have a decent salary that allows me to live having the basic supplies, and to suppourt my parents during their last years.

I’m thinking of taking a major that would bring me tools to understand and work with social problematics related to inequality, that leads me to work with other people to have inmediate solutions for vulnerated groups. But, to be honest, I’m affraid I Won’t  have the money to pay anything like that, so I’m thinking about working inmediatly until I have enough money or economic support to continue my studies.
